Hey Hi Hello

My name is Jackie Bernauer (Jackie B), and I love drawing, playing video games, and playing tabletop games. I’m a 22-year-old traditional artist whose goal is to always keep creating because that’s what makes me most happy! I’ve taken a lot of art classes at Berkeley City College and would like to start taking more art classes again when I can. I love drawing/designing different kinds of monsters or drawing just about anything I find interesting and enjoyable. I’m mostly inspired by the video games I play, Dungeons & Dragons, the dreams I have, and other artists’ work. I love a challenge and dig experimenting with different kinds of materials and playing around with the anatomy of the monsters that I draw. I’d also love to make children’s books and other illustration books, and collaborate with other artists more in the future. I have a lot of ideas that I’m excited to work on! The support from others makes drawing even more rewarding and I can’t thank everyone enough for that, it seriously means the world to me and always inspires me to draw more! I hope you enjoy checking out my work!

Artists who inspire me! (in no particular order)

Niall Murray

Niall is very talented digital artist who works incredibly hard every day to always keep improving his art. His style is friendly, inviting, and colorful which I find very refreshing and always puts a big smile on my face! He's amazing at drawing backgrounds, they're really beautiful and I love that he's always exploring new ways to draw them. Niall is one of the most dedicated artists I know, he's always practicing and learning new things and makes me wanna be much better about practicing every day as well. He inspires me all the time and helps push me to try out new techniques with drawing. Niall is a very supportive boyfriend and best friend to me, and I love that he's always happy to give advice and help other artists! He's helped me grow both as a person and artist and I feel very lucky to have him in my life because of that. Definitely check out his work!

Joshua Maderal

Another great artist who draws both traditionally and digitally, Josh is awesome at drawing people, action poses, and has been designing some very cool comic characters that I'm excited to see more of! His comics and characters make me wanna make my own stories and design my own characters with more in depth personalities. Josh is one of my best friends and helped push me to keep improving my art when we went to college together and I can't thank him enough for that! His art always makes me smile and he's a lovely person all around, I'm sure his art will make you smile as well!

Julia (proton)

Julia is seriously a wonderful friend and artist! I was blown away by her use of colors the first time I saw her artwork, it is always so interesting and vibrant. The colors she chooses to work with when she shades and highlights are fantastic and the way she draws people is very unique and honestly probably my favorite! I'm very happy I found her because she inspires me to take more risks with my own use of color, which is exciting! She draws some kick-ass stuff—you should totally go look at her artwork!

Ωmega (Omegablack)

Omega is an incredible artist who draws some very cool (and creepy!) stuff! I'm always excited to check out his new drawings. He comes up with really interesting designs that can be pretty dang disturbing—but that's what I like about them. His attention to detail is amazing and makes me want to improve on the small details in my own work. If you dig creepy artwork definitely check out his drawings!

Chris O'Niell (OneyNG)

Chris is an all around very talented creator of all kinds of different art. I've always enjoyed the way he draws characters; to me his designs feel light and fun, and I love that! He's a real hard worker and I appreciate his drive to try out new things and that he really takes the time to explore them. He and I share a lot of the same favorite video games which is awesome because it's exciting to see artwork of his inspired by something that inspires me as well! He makes real wonderful music too, and it's so inspiring how versatile and daring he is to create such a diverse range of work—it inspires me to try out new things that I'd usually be too intimidated by. He's a good friend of mine and I'm happy I've gotten to know him better. Check out both his art and music!

Rhys (rhyshaug)

Rhys is a great traditional artist! I really appreciate how precise his lines are when he shades and the amount of time he puts into each drawing he works on. He inspires me to be more patient with the tedious parts of my own drawings. I love the strange creatures he designs, especially his more humanoid ones because that's something I'd like to get better at! He draws a whole heck of a lot so go check out his art!

More artists will be added here!

I want to take my time writing a little something about why these artists inspire me so it may take a little while to add everyone!

This list isn't intended to make anyone feel left out either or make anyone feel that their art isn't "good enough"! I just wanted to share the artists who influence me and my artwork the most.
